TikTok is currently being dominated by people wearing big red boots, and sometimes black ones too. TikTok fashion trends are interesting at the best of times but these boots are everywhere and people have no idea why. But to be fair, you’d think they don’t look good with anything but if they’re styled right then they can be a slay.

When you saw these boots for the first time you probably thought to yourself why would someone ever wear these? And you are not alone with this thought. Here’s everything we know about the big red boots from TikTok.

These boots were made by MSCHF. MSCHF is an art collective that wants to create “cynical and viral projects”, this has led the collective to releasing many well known products, their most recent product obviously being the Big Red Boot. You may recognise MSCHF from other viral products such as their collaboration with Lil Nas X to make their Satan Shoe, which had a lot of attention as it resulted in a lawsuit from Nike, or their Gobstopper shoes.

People on TikTok and Twitter are comparing the Big Red Boot to the boots that Astro boy wears. However, if you want to look like Astro boy it is going to cost you, on StockX the Big Red Boot is selling for up to £1,300.The retail price for the boots on the MSCHF website is $350, considerably cheaper than what they are being charged on resale websites. However, you had to be fairly lucky to get the Big Red Boot off the official MSCHF website. The Big Red Boot restocked on 16th February and completely sold out within seven minutes – people are going feral for them.
