A Lancs student’s guide to Roses 2023: Here’s what you can do to support Lancaster in York

Flat floor accommodation in York is now included with transport to the events in Lancs’ merch packs

Roses is coming up this weekend, and many Lancs students will be finding ways to support our teams away from home turf. To help you figure out what you can do, we’ve rounded up everything that is being made available to Lancs students this year.

LUSU are organising accommodation

For those who are planning on going to York to watch the matches, coach tickets to and from the events are being sold via the merch website alongside flat floor accommodation in York for £15 per day.

Tickets to watch the Lacrosse fixtures in the opening ceremony on Friday 28th April can also be bought via the Lancs merch website. Standing tickets cost £6 and seated tickets are £8.

Lancaster’s merch packs are available online, with supporter packs costing £12 for a water bottle, bucket hat and enamel pin.

Additional clothing merch can be bought here.

For students who are planning on staying in Lancaster this weekend, live updates will be uploaded online on the RosesLive website, and events will be livestreamed with York’s student TV station.

Club nights have been planned in both York and Lancaster. Tickets to York’s club night on Saturday 29th April can be bought here for £5. The event will take place at the Roger Kirk centre, with doors opening from 10pm.

In Lancaster, The Sugarhouse’s Roses closing party will take place on Sunday 30th April. The nightclub have recently announced that DJs Belters Only will be headlining the event. Ticketholders are guarenteed entry before 11.30pm, and while tickets are currently sold out there will be an option to pay at the door.
