Love Island producers reportedly asked Alison Hammond’s son to star on the show but he said no

Loool, no nepo babies this year!

Love Island producers reportedly approached TV icon Alison Hammond’s son, 18, to appear on the upcoming season of the dating show.

The new  season will be back on TV screens in just two weeks, with cast members flying out to Mallorca to get ready for a summer of a lifetime.

“Alison was flattered but Aidan has turned it down,” a source told The Sun.

“Producers know that contestants with a famous parent are a huge hit.”

If Aidan had agreed to appear on the upcoming season, he would join a long line of Islanders with famous parents. Previous seasons have included Dani Dyer, Jack Keating and Gemma Owen.

Three contestants have already been rumoured, including TikToker Molly Marsh, PrettyLittleThing model Chloe Baker and economics graduate Andre Furtado.

Building work for the new villa in Mallorca began in April 2023, according to the Majorca Daily Bulletin.

“An army of labourers are working around the clock to get the villa ready for filming which is expected to start later this spring,” the outlet said.

Talking about the brand new villa, executive producer Mike Spencer told The Mirror: “We looked at quite a few villas and this was by far the best.

“The view is beautiful, we want people to tune in and say this is Love Island but it’s had a glow up. It’s slightly bigger, it’s a similar pool size but the space around it is bigger.”

The summer season will begin on June 5th on ITV2, with Maya Jama returning as the host.
