Here’s a rundown of the best sober autumn activities around Cardiff

Because sometimes a pumpkin spiced latte beats a pint

As the days get shorter and autumn approaches, you might fancy a break from the boozy days of summer. Not everything at uni has to involve a drink, and really there is no better way to start feeling autumnal than a wholesome activity with your friends. Whether you aren’t a big drinker, or you are too hungover to drink ever again (we’ve all been there), here are some of the best sober autumn activities in Cardiff to get you feeling cosy.

Café trips

With so many to choose from in Cardiff, from Coffee Barker to Social Eats, coffee shops offer endless autumnal trip locations. What better way is there to start feeling autumnal and warm than with a cappuccino and slice of cake. Plus this doesn’t have to break the bank, with lots of cafes offering student discounts, such as Brodies Coffee Co.

Autumnal strolls

Cardiff certainly isn’t short of beautiful walks to create that autumnal feeling. Stroll through Bute Park with the beautiful orange leaves around, or head to the arcades in the city centre to soak up that autumn vibe with your pals to get you feeling cosy. A perfect way to connect with your friends, without waking up with a hangover!

Exercise classes

As the autumn is finally starting to settle in, we all know Cardiff’s weather is certainly unpredictable! That’s why an exercise class is the perfect way to get those endorphins pumping without having to get soaked this Autumn. JD Gym, right next to Live Lounge, offers so many options from spin to yoga so there is something for everything, and with £5 for the first month of membership for students, it doesn’t have to break the bank.

Roast dinners

What is more Autumnal than a Sunday roast? It is the ultimate warming comfort food. Cardiff has many options for a great Sunday roast. Try the Taf at the Students’ Union for a cheaper option, or if you fancy something more high end we recommend Daffodil for all the trimmings.
