Former Love Islander Jake Cornish has shared a career move which will see him taking on acting. No, this isn’t a joke, the 25-year-old ex-Islander from 2021 has announced he will be steering away from his bed and mattress company and looking at dipping his toe into performing.
Jake has a big role in an upcoming film called Mr Hyde: The Untold Story. Jake announced the news on Instagram and revealed he will be playing a character called DI Jacobs.
He posted a character poster of himself for the new movie and captioned it: “Meet DI Jacobs. Over the moon to announce that I am playing such a big role in the new @mrhyde_22 untold story film. Who knows? New change of career. I’ve always wanted to be involved in films and here we are. An actor. I can’t wait to get started on filming.”
His followers have gone wild in the comments and are all saying how amazing this new venture is for him.
Jake Cornish’s new acting gig comes after he opened up about finding fame on Love Island instead of love. He says he sometimes wishes he wasn’t recognised. On the show he was coupled up with Liberty Poole but they quit the show just three days before the final.
Let’s hope he’s got used to getting recognised! He’s going to be an iconic movie star to remember. Next stop, Jenny in 2:22 A Ghost Story.
