The Tab is hiring an Assistant Editor to join its HQ – here’s how to apply
Applications close Thursday 27th June
We’re hiring an Assistant Editor to join The Tab’s head office. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join one of the most young and innovative media companies in the UK.
Assistant Editors have one of the most varied and rewarding jobs in journalism – working with students to break stories and helping to build a new kind of news network. It is a role for ambitious young journalists who work hard, are capable of building brilliant working relationships with writers, and who care about original stories.
The Tab is a site covering youth and student culture – reaching over five million people every month. We believe young people are overlooked, and we exist to give them a voice. Our coverage includes fighting discrimination and holding authority to account, while at the same time telling you which Netflix shows you should be binging.
We are run by young journalists who like being first – our storytelling is brave, original and entertaining. The Tab is part of Digitalbox Plc – the growing media company behind Entertainment Daily!, The Poke and The Daily Mash. At The Tab we put young people in charge; the average age is 25 and many staff go on to run their own team within three years.
We are also hiring for a Staff Writer with a focus on news – see here.
