Huge MAFS UK feud exposed as cast are bitter that Ella is appearing on Celebs Go Dating

‘There is definitely jealousy there’

Almost one year on from when MAFS UK 2023 was filmed you would think the cast would be over any feuds by now, but of course they’re not. Because what screams appearing on reality TV more than having constant spats with your co-stars? And this feud features some very bruised egos by the sounds of it, as the cast of MAFS UK 2023 are apparently “jealous” that Ella is appearing on Celebs Go Dating.

According to The Sun, the jealousy stems from the fact that a lot of her fellow MAFS UK cast members also auditioned the dating show but obviously missed out. The Sun previously reported that Georges had been approached by bosses of the show to appear on Celebs Go Dating who thought he was “very entertaining”, but that it wasn’t yet “a done deal.”

The source revealed: “Several members of the latest MAFS cast are fuming that Ella got the Celebs Go Dating gig as a few of them interviewed for it and they’re annoyed they didn’t get it. They feel like Ella has got more opportunities than the rest of them since the show and there is definitely jealousy there.

“At the end of the day though, Ella got the spot fair and square. She had meetings like everyone else, but her personality shone through and she has already proven she makes great TV. She was the breakout star of MAFS so it made sense she would be the first choice for Celebs Go Dating. Celebs Go Dating has never had a trans star on it either, which will open up some really important discussions.” It’s all sounding very juicy, and I love it!

And if Georges is feeling a little miffed he lost his place on Celebs Go Dating to Ella then he might be feeling even more frustrated because of their history together. It turns out the two met years before they saw each other again on MAFS UK when Georges lived in Bristol, with the pair even almost going on a date together.

Georges revealed on the Divorced! Beheaded! Thrived! podcast: I actually knew Ella from five years ago when I lived in Bristol. I think we originally met in a club, I’m not sure. Or we ended up sliding into each other’s DMs once upon a time. We were going to go for a drink, we never did. And then, obviously, Ella was a dancer and I bumped into her a couple of times at the bar. Seriously, I never get dances but yes, she was in there and we used to have a good laugh.”

And it looks like Ella has been having the time of her life on Celebs Go Dating, and has quickly become besties with Stephen from Gogglebox, who is recently single. As the first Trans celeb to enter the agency, Ella has spoken out about how “proud” she is of the representation she’ll provide on the show, adding that “marrying a stranger didn’t exactly work out so let’s try my hand at dating first!” I can’t wait to see her on our screens again soon, it’s been too long!
