Daisy Jelley plays the role of Poppy in Geek Girl, and she has the mean girl model energy down to an absolute tee. Poppy is the ultimate fashionista and overall cool girl, but obviously has a grudge against new model Harriet as she secretly has a crush on Poppy’s boyfriend Nick. Ultimately she’s the type of character you both despite but secretly want to be her a little bit?
But as if Poppy from Geek Girl wasn’t cool enough, the actress who plays her, Daisy Jelley, is somehow even cooler and an actual real life it girl. Not only is she very famous on TikTok she’s been in a ton of incredibly high profile fashion shows as well as being in a ton of amazing shows. When Daisy was just 10 she signed with Kids London before being scouted by Select Model Management at Clothes Show Live when she 13. Being scouted at the Clothes Show Live is such an iconic move, that really was the dream. Since then she has modelled for Coach, Charlotte Tilbury, Prada and Pepe Jeans alongside Brooklyn Beckham. Sounds like she’s basically playing herself in Geek Girl then and we love to see it.

After Covid started Daisy was forced to look for other ways to advertise herself to agencies and brands so she started her TikTok account in 2019 and safe to say it’s gone incredibly well. She has 1.5 million followers on the platform with over 30 million likes. She mainly focuses on makeup and fashion videos with very high-profile brands.
She’s got a lot of experience on the screen

In 2023 Daisy appeared in her first feature film called How to Have Sex as Gemma, which premiered at Cannes and even won the Prix Un Certain Regard award and appeared on an episode of TV series London Kills. This year has been a busy one for her as she’s also played Amber in How to Date Billy Walsh and also appeared in a VR miniseries called The Faceless Lady.
