Erm, this Temu croissant lamp might be an actual pastry after TikToker took bite out of it?!

She claims the lamp was actually just a real croissant covered in resin

Yeah, so imagine the sheer horror of not only seeing your new Temu croissant lamp covered in ants but then proceeding to realise it could in fact be made out of the actual food items it’s trying to imitate?

Well, that’s exactly what TikTok user @froginahatgirl discovered in a now-viral video where she noticed ants were crawling all over her new croissant-shaped lamp she had allegedly purchased from Temu.

She claims in the video: “I got this Temu lamp as a gift from my sisters. I put it in my room and I came home from work after a hot day and there were hundreds of ants underneath it.”

She continued: “I was like ‘Why the f*ck would ants want a fake croissant?’ and it’s like, I’m almost wondering if this is a literal, real croissant covered in resin because they were going in the holes.” Curiosity got the better of her and she poked a hole in the lamp to see what was going on here, before exclaiming that it “lowkey looks like a fucking croissant under there.”

She then proceeded to easily break open the lamp by ripping it, which in itself is very concerning and revealed that the interior of the lamp looked very layered and flaky alongside having a better glued to it. Eerily similar to what an actual croissant looks like inside…

Surprised, she shouted out: “Are you actually joking me? That looks like fucking pastry, look at the crumbs!” But, because nothing in this world is sacred and biting into a Temu croissant lamp that is made out of seemingly unknown material is obviously a great idea, she proceeded to quite literally take a bite out of it.

But, the bite seemed to clear up any suspicions she had, as she stated: “It’s literally f*cking food.” Well, there you have it. Obviously there is no way to tell if she even bought the lamp from Temu, and currently, none are available to buy so for all we know this could have been an elaborate plot for some viral fame. But maybe check your lamps for ants just in case…
