Alanna is 32 years old and originally from Toronto, but decided to move to LA after more seriously pursuing a career in modelling and the luxury real estate industry. However, she originally wanted to be a vet, but she was discovered by a modelling agency in the middle of university.

She told People: “I was originally studying to be a vet. So I was going to university and I got discovered for modelling in the middle of it. I took the opportunity because I’m actually allergic to animals, so that was not a good path for me.”

She realised she wanted to go into luxury real estate during the pandemic

Following the move to LA, Alanna realised she “wanted to do something bigger” and when the pandemic started she started studying for her license.

She explained to People: “When everything kind of shut down, I knew that was an amazing chance to get my license. So I really spent those months just studying and I went for my license and got it. When I started working in this industry, I loved it and I realized that I didn’t want to go back into modelling. I really wanted to put all my time into real estate.”

She admits she was initially ‘hesistant’ to appear on Selling Sunset

In her interview, Alanna admitted everything with appearing on Selling Sunset “happened really quickly” but she knew the opportunity would “change her life.”

She confessed: “There was a little bit of hesitation there of course, and just thinking about how it will change my life. It was this big shift and I really had to evaluate. I did go through all of the emotions, but at the end of the day I was like, ‘What is life for?’ Just put yourself out there and take opportunities as they come.”

As for whether she got involved in the drama in season eight, Alanna wanted to “stick up for the things” that she believes in. She said: “I just kind of made a promise to myself to stay true to who I am and really stick up for the things that I believe in, but also not get involved with things that don’t involve me.”

As for who her office besties are, Alanna Gold added that fellow Selling Sunset cast members Chrishell and Mary were very “sweet” to her throughout her time on the show.

She married her husband Adam in 2022 and describes him as ‘very supportive’

Whilst Alanna is very private about her relationship, she married her husband Adam Gold in 2022 and has very openly spoken about how much she’s appreciated his support throughout the filming process.

She explained: “He was very helpful through the process and I think he was actually one reason why I felt very confident to be able to do it. I knew I had his support and I knew we’re a team through everything. My family was also very excited and they’ve always been supportive of my choices and what I wanted to do.”

The pair decided to purchase an entire wild west town in the desert because why not?

During season eight of Selling Sunset, we see Alanna take her fellow co-stars to Pioneertown which is an entire town in the desert she and her husband have bought. No biggie.

As for why they decided to make the purchase, Alana told People: “We’ve always really loved it, and it was actually where we went for one of our first trips. We always knew we wanted to own a piece of property out there or be a part of the community somehow.

“It needed a lot of updates and things like that, and we really wanted to bring it back to life. So it was just this opportunity to really make it vibrant again. It’s really cool because most film sets function as ghost towns, and to this day, it still is a functioning town.”
