Selling Sunset cast member Amanda Lynn apologises for ‘racist’ tweets as ‘lapse of judgement’

Selling Sunset cast member Amanda Lynn has publicly apologised for her racist tweets after they came to light just before the new season aired.
Amanda is a new cast member who viewers are introduced to through Bre and she is the first co-star who Bre tells about Chelsea’s husband being spotted with another woman.

However, just before the new season aired she was accused of publishing “racist” tweets, including some containing the n-word. A TikTok video by the user stephwithdadeets, revealed screenshots of tweets allegedly posted by Amanda in 2012 and 2013, however, the video has since been deleted.
She allegedly tweeted: “Yummy lunch at Mundo in world market center! Great Mexican food… I think a lil higher of Mexicans after that meal… for now. HA.”
Other clips on TikTok claim that she had also retweeted comments that also contained the n-word. However, Amanda has now responded to the backlash, explaining her tweets as a “brief lapse in judgment” and expressing her “regret” over the posts. Amanda has, via a spokesperson, also insisted that she is not racist.

Her representative told the DailyMail: “The tweets in question, made over a decade ago, were a brief lapse in judgment and do not reflect Amanda Lynn’s beliefs or values. She regrets the mistake, has learned from it, and is not racist.”

Selling Sunset co-star Chelsea has also claimed on Twitter: “Bre brought her racist friend on the show to try to ruin me. Never met the Amanda girl a day in my life but her and Bre in her words wanted to ‘take me down.’ I took the scene because it was already a storyline. It was all premeditated, I just handled it the best way I could.”
She later added: “Made it clear and putting it in writing, if racist Amanda is on the show as a cast member. I’m out.”
