Inside the complex relationship between Justin Bieber and his former mentor P Diddy

When Justin Bieber was first starting out in the music industry, rapper P Diddy took on the role as a form of mentor towards him . However, as the years have gone by their relationship has changed, and following the recent charges against Diddy it seems Justin has entirely removed him from his life.

According to sources, Justin is said to be deeply “disturbed” by the charges made against him and regrets having collaborated together on a song just last year. So, let’s breakdown the complex relationship history throughout he years between Diddy and Justin Bieber.

November 2009 – Justin Bieber spends 48 hours with P Diddy

Justin initially signed with Usher’s record label at just 15 and quickly became involved with the Caught Up crew which featured P Diddy. Diddy took on a mentorship role towards Justin and the two made a YouTube video about their time together.

In the video, Diddy explains: “I have been given custody of him,” Diddy continues. “You know, he’s signed to Usher, and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album. I did Usher’s first album. We’re gonna go full. Buck full crazy.”

He continued: “You ever seen the movie 48 Hrs? Right now [Justin is] having 48 hours with Diddy, him and his boy. They’re having the times of their lives. Where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose. But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”

Later on in the video, Diddy asks Justin what he wants to get up to together, and the singer replies, “Let’s just go get some girls.” Diddy laughs and responds: “Man after my heart. That’s what I’m talking about.”

One year later it seems the two were not as close as they once were after a video emerged of Diddy voicing his annoyance at Justin for not keeping in touch with him.

After they see each other, Diddy asks Justin: “Everything’s good? Selling out arenas and everything? Starting to act different, huh? You ain’t been calling me and hanging out the way we used to hang out.”

Justin replied: “I mean you tried to get in contact with me throughout all my [projects] and what not – but you never got my number. I’m going to tell you my number.”

2014 – Khloe Kardashian reveals Justin and Diddy were at a ‘butt naked party’ together

During an old 2014 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe was talking to Kourtney about a party she’d been to the night before. She described: “I got on a plane at 5.30am. Well, this party…I think half the people there were butt naked. You would have loved it.”

When Kourtney asked who else was there, Khloe replied: “Diddy. Quincy. Justin Bieber…”

Justin appeared on Diddy’s latest album, The Love Album: Off The Grid, contributing to a track called Moments. At the time, Justin posted about how much being featured on the track meant to him, writing: “I remember going to my brother Diddy’s office to pitch him a song I wrote for him when I was like 14, sadly the song was trash haha.

“And it would be a hard no from him, fast forward to a few years ago Puff asked if I would freestyle something for his upcoming love album. Wild full circle moment, love you @diddy.”

According to The Daily Mail, Justin Bieber regrets his collaboration with P Diddy and is “unwilling” to process it.

The source revealed: “Bieber is so disturbed by the Diddy news and is unwilling to process it or discuss it so he has shut off,” the source said.  So many people who helped to make him who he is were very close to Diddy and it has completely thrown him. Justin hasn’t been responding to this since the home raids. He’s not going to.”

They continued: “He had a long break from Diddy when he believes most of this took place and he had distanced himself from him. He was featured on Diddy’s most recent album, and had he known any of this, there is no way he would have done it”
