Inside Kieran’s iconic and vaguely terrifying life as a clown before being on MAFS UK 2024

During our first introduction to MAFS UK 2024 groom Kieran, we learned he actually used to be a circus clown for a living. Whilst we only saw a couple of pictures on MAFS, fear not as I have discovered a veritable goldmine of old pictures from Kieran’s clowning days. And yes, he did of course have a clown name.

So, from the magic tricks he used to perform to the circus he performed it, here’s a look inside Kieran’s slightly terrifying life as a clown before MAFS.

Kieran’s clown name was Krumpet and he played the ukenet

Yeah, I had absolutely no idea the ukenet was a real instrument either but it seems like something a clown would play, and we now absolutely need Kieran to showcase his skills on MAFS UK 2024. It seems to be a mix between a ukelele with a clarinet attached to the end so you can whistle and play the strings at the same time. I won’t lie this is very impressive.

Also, the fact his clown name was Krumpet is both very wholesome and somehow ominous sounding.

Kieran really said, give me clown shoes but make it stylish and I’m beyond obsessed.

He worked for Charles Chipperfield Circus

MAFS UK 2024 groom Kieran worked as a clown for Charles Chipperfield’s Circus around 2019. The circus company was started in the 1600s and after WW2 it became one of the largest in the world with one tent holding over 6,000 spectators.

Direct descendants of the Chipperfield family still work for the circus, and it’s a very well regarded touring company.

He had an actual unicycle he would ride around on stage

This is genuinely quite impressive and I really hope that sunflower contains water you can squirt at people.

Kieran needs to bring it to one of the MAFS dinner parties and use it every time Adam or any other of the grooms says anything stupid.
