The meaning behind P Diddy’s back tattoo and why everyone thinks it’s actually cursed him

The tattoo depicts a very powerful Haitian voodoo spirit who protects women

P Diddy has a very prominent tattoo on his back of Ezili Dantor, and it turns out it has an eerie meaning which has led some people to think he’s now been cursed.

P Diddy got the back tattoo in 2017, and the meaning of it represents the Haitian spirit Ezili Dantor. Ezili Dantor is a key figure in Haitian voodoo and is associated with motherhood, protection and womanhood. She is described as a fierce protector of marginalised communities, particularly women and LGBTQ+ individuals in Haitian culture.

Ezili Dantor “rages and destroys” anyone who harms women, as her main attribute is being a devoted and selfless mother who will “turn the world upside down” for those she loves. It is said if you anger her then an awful natural disaster will fall on you, with some who worship her even claiming that those who have wronged her have inexplicably started vomiting blood.

The spirit is still worshipped today on Tuesday and is typically done alone in front of an altar which is blue, black and red. When her birthday comes around its celebrated by a very special sacrifice of a wild pig, which is sacrificed on the altar for her. I’d be happy with chocolate cake bu whatever works for her!

What an eerie tattoo meaning behind a tattoo.
