It’s safe to say that as unis students, we go about our days at uni without giving our choices and decisions too much thought. For example, we usually eat the same food for breakfast everyday, stick to the same mode of transport for getting to and from uni, and frequent the same pubs and bars with our mates in the evenings, after long, gruelling days of lectures and essay writing.
However, these often subconscious decisions that we make in our daily lives as uni students actually tell us a lot about ourselves. Believe it or not, such a simple decision as how you travel to that annoying 9am lecture (or whether you even bother to go in the first place) says a lot about your academic preferences.
But are you actually enrolled on the course that suits you best? Would you secretly succeed in sociology, or excel in engineering? Are you a science student who is actually better suited to the bookish wonders of an English degree? Or are you a shy bookworm with a hidden talent for artistry, who actually belongs in a painting studio or onstage performing in a theatrical production? Maybe you’re a historian with a hidden passion for numbers, or a budding actor or actress with an uncanny ability to psychoanalyse your mates?
Seemingly innocent, small choices such as your breakfast preferences, your preferred mode of transport, your extracurricular involvement, your typical choice of dinner, and your nightlife preferences, reveal much more about you than you might think.
