Um, people think Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck split months ago because of this cryptic clue

People are realising that Ben Affleck dropped a clue months ago about his divorce to Jennifer Lopez.
Ben Affleck appeared on season four of Kevin Hart’s Peacock celebrity chat show Heart to Hart (yes, that really exists). The show came out on 20th June, but was likely filmed months before then.
Affleck told Kevin Hart that one of his three children with Jennifer Garner kept suggesting what they could call their autobiography. The child came up with “J. Lo was my Stepmother”.
Affleck told Hart that he rather liked the title. He said: “I was like, ‘Alright, that’s a good title.'”
People reckon that the past tense “was” is a clue that Ben Affleck’s family were already thinking of his marriage to Jennifer Lopez as being over.

In the interview, Affleck also ranted about how Lopez’s fame was impacting his family. He described an incident when the celebrity couple decided to walk to a play through Times Square with all five of their children. The crowds saw Lopez and started screaming. “It was a lot to take in,” Affleck admitted.
People have spotted other clues that suggest Affleck and Lopez’s relationship was on the rocks for months before Lopez filed for divorce.
This viral video shows the couple looking a little less than cheerful together way back in May 2023. Affleck slammed the car door in Lopez’s face then stomped round to the driver’s side of the car.

They tried to sell their whopping 12-bedroom 24-bathroom privately in June, then listed it publicly on Zillow in July for $68 million (£52 million).
In July, the pair were spotted out and about separately without their wedding rings on – Affleck in Los Angeles, and Lopez at her Bridgerton-themed birthday party in the Hamptons.
Bit ironic considering that Affleck had “Not going anywhere” engraved on the $5.6 million (£4.3 million) engagement ring he gave her.
It didn’t take a Swiftie to decode the clues that a divorce was coming. Maybe Affleck and Lopez will have another two weddings in 20 years time?
