Nottingham University world ranking 2024

Daily Mail released uni rankings and Nottingham is lower down than I expected

University of Nottingham is the fourth lowest Russell Group uni

The Daily Mail has released a university league table, and once again Nottingham was lower than I thought it would be.

University of Nottingham ranked 32nd in the UK meaning it comes in above Exeter and Cardiff, but falls short compared to some of its East Midlands neighbours. Leicester came in 30th and Loughborough was named a ‘university of the year’. So, there’s that.

The Daily Mail has considered a number of factors when giving these rankings. The system uses 12 key performance indicators such as fairness of admission policies, graduate success, student support, first-year completion, among many others.

This scoring is pretty standard for the University of Nottingham but let’s look at other university league tables.

It was awarded 30th in the Complete University Guide and 32nd in The Times. Despite the low 30s being a common ranking for UoN, almost all rankings have dropped from last years positions.
