Two passengers have sustained life-threatening injuries
Two people were arrested after a serious crash near Nottingham Trent University’s Clifton Campus on Friday.
The collision occurred on the A453 Remembrance Way at 01:45 BST on 20th September. The two cars involved were a Ford Fiesta and a BMW.
The BBC has reported that two passengers have suffered life-threatening injuries and two arrests have been made. A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and a 19-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving and drink driving.
Nottingham Trent University had to reschedule teaching on the Clifton Campus due to traffic and transport disruptions.
Nottinghamshire Police has asked witnesses to make contact, with Chief Inspector Neil Humphris releasing the following statement: “Emergency services will remain at the scene for some time while we investigate this collision.
“I’d like to thank people for their patience as we continue to respond to this ongoing incident.
“Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 32 of 20 September 2024.”
