Inside Millie Bobby Brown’s lavish wedding, and how much it costs to get married there

Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi (yes, that’s her name now) finally dropped photos from her wedding to Jake Bongiovi in May. The wedding is as glamorous and over the top as you’d expect. To be fair, if I was marrying Jon Bon Jovi’s son, I wouldn’t settle for an off the rail wedding dress either.

The wedding took place at an extortionately expensive villa in Tuscany

Millie Bobby Brown’s net worth is about $14 million (£10.6 million), and Jon Bon Jovi is worth an eye watering $410 million (£312 million). The budget didn’t seem to be much of a concern when they booked this venue.

Millie Bobby Brown got married at Villa Cetinale, in the countryside near Tuscany. Villa Cetinale was built in the 17th century and owned by Pope Alexander VII. The impressive mansion has extensive gardens, a heated pool, a tennis court, Renaissance sculptures and a 17th century chapel. Doesn’t sound too shabby. Surrounding the main villa are three luxurious farmhouses for more guests to sleep in. Bits of Succession were filmed there.

Unsurprisingly, the venue doesn’t come cheap. Millie Bobby Brown got married in May, the most popular time of year for weddings, when it costs about €60,000 (£50,400) to hire the main building alone. If Millie Bobby Brown hired out all three farmhouses (which I would guess that she did, to keep her wedding private from prying journalists like us) then she’d have paid another €15,500 (£11,800). The venue charges another €10,000 (£8,400) if you have over 75 guests, and €130 (£110) per guest for each day that you all stay there. Using this knowledge and my Maths GCSE, I would estimate that it cost Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi at least €111,500 (£93,800) just to hire the venue. Well, it’s nice for some.

She wore four different designer wedding dresses (that we know of)

Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi wore as many wedding dresses as there are components of her name. For the actual ceremony, Millie wore a custom corset-style dress with loads of lace by Galia Lahav. Maybe she could reuse it in the next Enola Holmes film?

After the main event, she changed into a shorter, lacier gown which has a bow on the front like M&S pants. Then an Oscar De La Renta gown floor-length dress to cut the cake. Then a white Vivienne Westwood minidress for dancing. Did she have time to speak to everyone with that many outfit changes?

A Stranger Things cast member officiated the wedding

Matthew Modine, who plays Eleven’s creepy father figure in Stranger Things, officiated the ceremony.

We don’t know whether the other Stranger Things cast members showed up

The venue allows a maximum of 100 guests, which I swear is less than the number of characters in Season 4 of Stranger Things. Not many Stranger Things cast members made it into Millie Bobby Brown’s top 50 people. We haven’t seen evidence of any other Stranger Things cast members attending the wedding,

The venue also doesn’t allow pets. Presumably Millie Bobby Brown had to leave all nine of her dogs at home.
