Ranked: Who from Love Island 2023 has gained the most Instagram followers so far?

I bet Olivia was livid when she got her phone back 😬

This year, it’s been a bit more difficult for the Islanders to gain loads of Instagram followers, like they have in the past. Usually it’s part and parcel of being on the show that you gain millions of followers in doing so. However, this year, the Islanders’ social media profiles have remained inactive whilst they’ve been in the villa – so the cast of Love Island 2023 haven’t gained nearly close to as many Instagram followers as those who came before them.

So, here’s a ranking of the cast of Love Island 2023 who have gained the most followers on Instagram since being on the show. It’s not the dizzy heights of previous seasons, let’s put it that way. Honourable mentions to current Islanders Rosie (17k), Sanam (30.2k) and Casey (38.5k), who might still be in the villa, but still don’t get close to being listed as those who have gained the most followers, so far.

Shaq Muhammad – 73.5k

I’m surprised to see Shaq at the bottom of the list?! He’s an OG Islander this year, and he and Tanya have had a lot of airtime. Still, he’s only gained 73.5k followers across the seven weeks he’s been in the villa so far.

Kai Fagan – 79.1k

Despite his very impressive redemption arc, Kai is still one of the least followed Islanders in the villa right now. The teacher has 79.1k.

Haris Namani – 88.4k

Remember Haris? I feel like him being in the villa was a bit of a fever dream. Despite his dramatic exit, following a video of him in a street fight emerging, he’s still gained more followers than some of the boys who are in the villa right now.

Aaron Waters – 92.2k

You’d think being on Love Island Australia would have given Aaron a bit of a boost in the followers department, but he’s still near the bottom of the list. Right now, he has 92.2k followers.

Ron Hall – 98.3k

Ron and Lana are favourites to win the show right now, but Lana is definitely the one doing the heavy lifting where Instagram followers are concerned. Ron is yet to hit 100k, but is very close.

Tanya Manhenga – 104k

Tanya is the first of many Islanders who have broken that 100k barrier. The student and model has only just broken it, which isn’t that high considering she had 20k followers before the villa and already worked as an influencer and brand ambassador.

Anna-May Robey – 110k

Anna-May was an original Islander this year, but one of the first to leave. She’s gained just over 100k followers, and has 110k at the moment.

Zara Lackenby-Brown – 113k

Zara caused a lot of drama on the show when she was a bombshell, and since then has been back and forth on podcasts and in interviews dishing even more. This has helped her gain a following of 113k.

Tom Clare – 142k

Footballer Tom is one of the most followed boys in the villa right now. He joined as a late bombshell, and has already eclipsed some of the OG Islanders, with a current following of 142k.

Olivia Hawkins – 184k

Olivia’s just been dumped, and I’m sure a small part of her thought a consolation for this would be being greeted by millions of followers. Buuuuut, not quite. Despite being an OG Islander who is now back in control of her account, her follower count right now is under 200k. The only way is up!

Samie Elishi – 187k

Samie is one of the most popular girls in the villa right now, if we’re measuring popularity by followers. Right now she has 187k, just over 40k more than Tom – who she’s coupled up with.

Claudia Fogarty – 192k

Just in the top five for most gained followers out of the Love Island 2023 cast is dumped Islander, Claudia. She already had a decent amount of followers before the show, 24k, but is now heading towards 200k.

Tanyel Revan – 195k

Out of the Islanders who have been dumped, Tanyel is the most followed. She was an original Islander this year, and right now has just under 200k followers.

Lana Jenkins – 200k

Lana has just hit the big 200k. The OG Islander is third out of who has gained the most Instagram followers since Love Island 2023 first started, and is only being beaten by people who already had a degree of fame and following before the show. Not bad!

Will Young – 273k

In second is Will, who obviously was very well followed as farmer Will before he was in the villa. He has 273k followers right now.

Jessie Wynter – 446k

Aussie bombshell Jessie is currently leading the way, with nearly double the amount of Instagram followers as her partner Will, who’s in second place. It looks as though being on a TV show before Love Island, or relatively famous before the villa, is what’s giving here.
