Inside MAFS Australia’s Adam’s competition business that’s been out of action since 2022

MAFS Australia cast member Adam had a mysterious competition business that has been inactive since April 2022. He briefly mentioned he had a competition business with his friend in the UK, but it doesn’t seem to have done all that well.

Adam was one of the co-founder of the business, Meta Competitions, a “rewards club” where members could win prizes in exchange for an entry fee.

The company website now has a 403 Forbidden alert, meaning no one can access the site and competitions haven’t been run since April 2022. On the business’ social media, there hasn’t been any posts since March 2022.

One of the competitions included a Dyson Airwrap for £1.99, where only 41 out of 550 tickets were purchased. Out of all the competitions, the only prizes that were shared on their social medias included five bottles of vodka, a De’Longhi kettle, a toaster and a cash prize.

A source recently told Woman’s Day Adam hoped his appearance on Married at First Sight would drive traffic to his business, but it had the “opposite effect” instead. According to Daily Mail Australia, the company generated a total of $722 in sales.

Adam did explain he was a bit of a jack of all trades when asked about his career on Married at First Sight Australia. He said: “I’ve been over in the UK, living there and working in construction, I was also doing bits of modelling and TV, as well as being a Covid lab assistant, actor, real estate agent and entrepreneur.

“Then Covid hit and I was working in a lab over there and doing bit of Covid testing and working on the set of Netflix. I also have a little start up competition business I started in the UK with a friend of mine.”

Adam was in a couple with Janelle Han, but after he kissed fellow bride Claire on a night out, their relationship quickly ended. When the affair was revealed to the group, Adam and Janelle both wrote leave during a commitment ceremony and they went their separate ways.

Adam had also been on a number of reality TV shows before entering the MAFS Australia experiment. In previous years, Adam has appeared on Dinner Date, Coach Trip and Celebrity Ex in the City.
