Love Island winner Jack Fincham banned from All Stars special

The full reason why ex winner Jack Fincham has been banned from Love Island: All Stars

‘Sadly he was turned down by ITV’

Despite people thinking he’d been the perfect addition to the cast, previous Love Island winner Jack Fincham has been banned from appearing on the new All Stars version of the show.

He’d previously been rumoured as someone who could go on the show, given he won the 2018 series and now appears to be single, but due to his criminal record and drug history, it’s been reported he’s not allowed to take part.

Jack was previously handed a 36-month driving ban after he crashed his BMW while under the influence of cocaine. As well as this, he was later arrested on suspicion of drink driving and driving with false plates on his car, and it was claimed he was stopped whilst driving at high-speed, and was also held by police on suspicion of careless driving and driving without insurance.

The Sun reported at the time that a source said he was using private plates on his car, not false ones, and he’d denied using drugs and driving. The investigation is still ongoing.

Fincham’s solicitor Conor Johnstone, of M.A.J Law, said at the time: “Mr Fincham has not been charged with drug driving and denies any drug consumption whatsoever. There is no evidence at this stage that Mr Fincham drove whilst over the legal limit and we are hopeful that his blood results will prove the same.”

Fincham was also charged with drug driving in 2021, but the case was dropped. Jack has been open about his struggles with drugs in the past, saying in a previous interview he is “in the process of building myself back up”.

Jack Fincham is said to have been interested in joining Love Island: All Stars, and before finding out he was banned, had hoped ITV would consider him. A source told The Sun: “Jack’s keen to make a big return to TV and what better than the show that made his name? Sadly he was turned down by ITV – I think his turbulent year would cast a shadow over the show.”

He’s not the only Islander to be handed a ban from appearing on the show. Fellow previous winner, Paige Turley, has also been told she can’t take part. Since splitting with her Love Island ex Finn, Paige has signed up to appear on Ex On The Beach, and a clause in her contract forbids her from taking part in a rival reality show before the series has aired.
