A rundown of all the Made in Chelsea cast members who have royal connections

Oh how the other half live

The cast of Made in Chelsea literally are the capital’s elite – they live fancy lifestyles and have ridiculous amounts of money, so it’s no surprise they’ve brushed shoulders with a royal or two in their time.

The MIC cast went to some of the most prestigious private schools in the country, and hang out at private members’ clubs and expensive party spots – the places where royals definitely also frequent.

So, here’s a complete rundown of all the Made in Chelsea cast members, past and present, who have connections to the royal family.

Millie Mackintosh

Millie Mackintosh used to be friends with Meghan Markle, but has recently claimed that all came to end when Meghan started dating Prince Harry. Millie told her Mumlemmas & More podcast Meghan called time on their friendship, and didn’t want to be associated with Made in Chelsea.

Millie said she asked her ex friend about Prince Harry, and claims Meghan replied with an abrupt message, ending their relationship. “She’d basically told me to fuck off in that message,” Millie has claimed. “So I did. And we haven’t spoken since. Meghan Markle ghosted me, babe.”

Millie said she and Meghan met around eight years ago and had been friends since. “We met at the bar and we were both ordering a drink at the same time,” she said. “I started chatting and we got on really well. We got on like a house on fire and spent the night partying and having fun and we just stayed in touch.”

Hugo Taylor

Hugo Taylor was known as the London party boy in the OG MIC days, and in 2008, he was rumoured to have dated Princess Eugenie. The pair have been mates for years, and Hugo also met Prince Harry through other mutual friends of his. Once you’re in these circles, you really are in!

Mark-Francis and David shared the royal box at the tennis, after the Earl of Snowdon and the MIC star are said to have struck up a friendship over a love of antique furniture, naturally!

Oliver Proudlock

Proudlock studied at Eton at the same time as Prince Harry, and the pair are said to have been pretty close. Proudlock is also friends with Princess Eugenie, and has been for years, and he attended her wedding. Back in the day, Proudlock and Eugenie are said to have enjoyed the London party scene together, hanging out with loads of young royals.

Tabitha Willett

Tabitha Willett dated Prince Harry’s friend Fraser Carruthers for several years and they have a daughter together, named Ottilie Gwendoline Rose Carruthers. The pair were engaged, but split in 2020.

Freddy Knatchbull

No biggie, but Freddy from Made in Chelsea actually IS a royal. Freddy is the great grandson of Lord Mountbatten, who was Prince Philip’s uncle. “My great-grandad, Lord Louis Mountbatten, was very ‘in’ with the royal family,” Freddy told  OK! Magazine.

“He used to holiday with the royals all the time. I’ve grown up in a generation that isn’t close with the monarchy anymore, but my aunts and uncles are still involved.”

It’s no surprise the Newcastle student and current MIC cast member also ended up on Tatler’s rundown of the most eligible dates.

Ollie Locke

According to reports, Ollie Locke is the grandson of a royal family chauffeur, who lived in a cottage on the Kensington Palace Estate. He’s also claimed he once bumped into Prince Harry in a nightclub, and Harry told him he was handsome!

He said: “I was working on a nightclub door once and Prince Harry turned around and said ‘You are so handsome,’ and I was like ‘Thanks Harry, that’s very kind’.”
