Taylor Swift The Tortured Poets Department everything we know

All we know about The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift’s upcoming 11th album

Shaking at a Florence Welch featuring on a track

Everyone was braced for Taylor Swift to announce the release date for Reputation (Taylor’s Version) at the Grammys if she was going to announce anything, but no one was anticipating her to actually announce the release of her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department coming in literally a matter of months. Weeks. Just when I’m annoyed with the Taylor Swift exposure, she lures me back in. And whilst I think The Tortured Poets Department is the most cringe album title I’ve heard in ages, I’m sure it will be full of amazing tunes. Here’s everything we know about the new Taylor Swift album The Tortured Poets Department so far.

Release date!

Taylor Swift very generously gave us an actual release date when she announced The Tortured Poets Department, so out of everything we know so far its cold, hard facts that we’ll have it in our ears on April 19th.

17 tracks!

Taylor’s website showed us the record will have 16 standard tracks, with one bonus called The Manuscript on physical editions. Knowing her, that one will be added to streaming at a later date.

The confirmed tracklist!

Last night, Taylor Swift took everything we know to new heights when she dropped the full tracklist for The Tortured Poets Department. It has features from Post Malone and Florence + the Machine – the latter sending the most annoying gay you know into meltdown. Yes, I do mean myself.

What’s Taylor said about the album?

In the announcement post, fans got to see a handwritten note intro the record and era. It’s a poem or lyrics to a song and it says “And so I enter into evidence / My tortured coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick, tick, tick of love bombs / My veins in pitch black ink.”

“All’s fair in love an poetry… Sincerely, The Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department.”

In terms of what the album will sound like and any more info on what will be the singles, we’re gonna have to sit tight.
